Iron and Steel Industry

Iron and Steel Industry refers to the preparation, smelting crushing, soaking, blooming, slabbing, melting firing, rolling, casting, shaping, plating, galvanizing and all other processes involved in transforming raw materials (i.e., iron ore, coke, limestone, fluorspar, dolomite and silica) into semi-finished products (i.e., ingots, slabs, blooms and billets) and/or semi-finished products into finished products (products in their final physical state like hot-rolled coils and strips, plates and sheets). (Reference: RA 7103 otherwise known as the Iron and Steel Industry Act)

Cement Industry
The cement sector covers the manufacture of clinker, portland cement, pozzolan cement and other types of cement. Portland cement is a mixture of around 96% clinker and 4% gypsum, while pozzolan cement is a mixture of around 77% clinker, 3% gypsum and 20% pozzolan.

Information and Communication Technology

Business process outsourcing refers to the outsourcing by companies of their no-core or backroom operations - such as administration, finance and accounting, human resources management, and logistics and distribution, which function are standardized, have easily measured service levels, are high-vloume and can be centralized - to external service providers that can electronically provide them with their desired service quality yet reduce their overhead costs.

Petrochemical Industry

The Petrochemical Industry is currently oriented towards downstream operations. These operations involve the manufacture of synthetic resins (i.e., polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polystyrene (PS) and the most recently produced polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) primarily for the plastic processing, surface coating and textile industries.
